Tox Town Tox Town
An introduction to toxic chemicals and environmental health risks.

Tox Town is an environmental health website designed to provide information on everyday locations where you might find toxic chemicals, links to selected chemical information on the internet, information on how the environment can impact human health and resources on environmental health. Tox Town is also available in Spanish.

Tox Town is a companion to the TOXNET collection of databases used by toxicologists and health professionals.

What's New:


Ramirez Library at the RAHC closing at noon on Friday [Aug 28, 2008]
In preparation for Hurricane Gustav, the Ramirez Library at the RAHC will be closing at noon on Friday, August 29, and will be closed through the Labor Day Weekend. We expect to reopen as normal on Tuesday morning, September 2.

Holiday Hours: Labor Day [Aug 27, 2008]
In observance of the Labor Day holiday, the Ramirez Medical Library at the RAHC will be closed on Monday, September 1st. We will re-open on Tuesday, September 2nd. For more information, please see the Hours page.

New Interlibrary Loan Charges [Aug 25, 2008]
Starting September 1, 2008, the library will begin a six month pilot project to test new interlibrary loan charges. The new charges will eliminate the $2.00 fee for a non-rush request for faculty, staff and students. The Priority category for ILL requests will be eliminated and the charge for a rush request will be increased to $10.00 from $8.00.

Be a part of the first UT Health Science Center One Community / One Book program. For information about the book, campus events, the bookstore discount, and the Frank Bryant Jr, MD Memorial Lecture visit the One Community / One Book site.
