SCOPUS is an abstracts database of more than 27 million records from over 14,000 peer reviewed titles in the medical, scientific, technical, and social science literature. Full-text patent information is also included. More than 60% of the journal titles are from countries other than the United States and include both journals that are unique to MEDLINE and journals that are unique to EMBASE, the European biomedical database that is particularly strong in drug information. SCOPUS was developed using a “user-centered design” based on collaboration among 21 institutions and 300 researchers worldwide. Available to UTHSCSA students, faculty and staff who have registered with the Library and have set a PIN. |

| Hospital Compare |
The Hospital Compare Website from the US Department of Health and Human Services collects statistics on quality of care at hospitals across the country. Since its launch in 2005, more than 4,000 hospitals have submitted comparable data measures for treatment of heart attack, heart failure, and pneumonia. Nearly 1,500 hospitals are also reporting data on prevention of surgical site infections. |

| NetAnatomy |
NetAnatomy.com is a work in progress that is being designed to teach human anatomy to students of the health professions, including undergraduate medical, allied health, and nursing students.
