Configuration

The UT HSC Libraries website was designed to work with as many different browsers as possible, without requiring specific settings or browser plug-ins. However, many of the electronic resources linked to from this site do require JavaScript, cookies, or other specific configuration settings. This page is designed to help identify configuration issues that may affect your use of these resources.

What browser do you recommend I use?

We recommend using a recent version of one of the major browsers: Firefox, Internet Explorer, or Safari. These are the browsers most likely to be supported by databases and electronic journals you may need to access through our site. Library staff will not be as familiar with other browsers, and will be less able to help with troubleshooting.

What screen resolution do I need to use?

All UT HSC web pages are designed for a minimum screen resolution of 1024 x 768. Anything smaller than this will result in extra scrolling to see all parts of the page. Most of the electronic resources available from the Libraries' page will also display best at this size screen.
