Changing the Face of Medicine

The Changing the Face of Medicine exhibit honors the lives and achievements of American women in medicine - both past and present.

Visit the exhibit at the Briscoe Library from late October until November 21, 2008 and plan to attend related programs. (The exhibit was expected to open October 8, but Hurricane Ike damaged the exhibit that was scheduled to come here to San Antonio. The replacement exhibit is expected to arrive in late October.)

The complementary local exhibit Changing the Face of Medicine: South Texas Stories, designed by the Briscoe Library, is located near the entrance to the Briscoe Library.

The National Library of Medicine has also created an online component to the exhibit. The online Changing the Face of Medicine exhibit also includes Local Legends.
