Jesse H. Jones Comprehensive Research Library
The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio Jesse H. Jones Comprehensive Research Library is located in room 3.200 of the South Texas Centers for Biology in Medicine building at 15355 Lambda Drive in San Antonio, Texas. The library has regular visits from Library staff. If you need immediate assistance please contact the Briscoe Library Information Desk at (210) 567-2450 and a librarian will be able to assist with research needs.
Hours
The library is open from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. After hours access is available to students, faculty and staff with card access to the South Texas Centers for Biology in Medicine building.
Collection The library has full access to the electronic resources licensed by the UTHSCSA Libraries. In addition, the library collects books in the research areas of the Texas Research Park including aging, DNA repair, infectious lung diseases, tuberculosis, laboratory manuals, molecular oncology, vaccines and animal models for aging and cancer. Suggestions for purchasing new materials for the library should be sent to Susan Buentello at buentellos@uthscsa.edu. Please use the self checkout binder to remove books from the Jesse H. Jones Comprehensive Research Library. Regular lending periods apply. The checkout binder is located on the shelf near the windows.
Document Delivery/Interlibrary LoanBooks, articles, journals and other library materials located at the main Briscoe Library may be requested by TRP personnel at no charge through Document Delivery. Materials not owned by the UTHSCSA Libraries may be requested through Interlibrary Loan. There may be no charge for some Interlibrary Loan materials. Please contact the librarian with questions. Articles not available online can usually be scanned and delivered electronically to the Texas Research Park.
Computers
Wireless access is available throughout the library. Wireless users are requested to register their laptops to access the network. The librarian can register laptops on Wednesdays.
Computers are available with Internet, email and Microsoft Office products and provide access to all electronic resources available on the main campus. Printing is available in the Library. Normal printing charges apply to personal and departmental accounts.
MeetingsMeetings may be held in the Jesse H. Jones Comprehensive Research Library. A conference table suitable for meetings and other study tables and chairs are available to library visitors. To reserve the library for a meeting, contact the main Briscoe Library at 567-2400.
TrainingHands on training in the use of the library catalog, Ovid, PubMed, RefWorks and other resources is offered periodically or on request. A list of currently scheduled training classes may be found at

Food and drinks are permitted in the Library.
