Postion Openings at the UTHSCSA Library and Branch Locations

All postion vacancies for The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio including the library are posted with the university's Human Resources Department. ENVIRONMENT: The University of Texas health Science Center at San Antonio Library actively supports the information needs of its users through a range of services and collection formats, regardless of where the user is located. Outreach includes two branch libraries in San Antonio, satellite libraries in Laredo and at the Regional Academic Health Center in Harlingen, Texas, and a circuit librarian program to health care institutions on the Texas-Mexico border. The Library has an operating budget of approximately $4.3 million and a FTE staff of 48 including 18 librarians. Our services are ranked in the top 20% among AAHSL libraries and our own users' rating of our services placed us in the top 5 of health sciences libraries participating in the 2003 LIBQUAL+ survey. The Library reports to the Vice President for Academic Administration.

The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio is comprised of medical, dental, nursing, allied health and graduate schools with approximately 2700 FTE students. It is the home of the Palmaz® stent and site of the country's largest congestive heart failure study. Research centers include the Texas Diabetes Institute, the San Antonio Cancer Institute and the Barshop Institute for Aging Research.
