From the National Library of Medicine

The Dietary Supplements Labels Database offers information about ingredients in more than 2000 brands of vitamins, minerals, herbs or other botanicals, and amino acids. It is designed to help both the general public and health care providers find information about supplements and provides direct links to fact sheets, research findings, and on-going clinical studies at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Dietary Supplements Database is a free database from the National Library of Medicine.

New: Medical Letter on Drugs & Therapeutics [May 5, 2008]
The UT HSC Libraries now has electronic access to The Medical Letter on Drugs and Therapeutics courtesy of University Health System. Our access covers vol. 30 (1988)+ of The Medical Letter on Drugs and Therapeutics and also vol. 1 (2002)+ of Treatment Guidelines from The Medical Letter. Access to these titles may be found through the catalog and the ejournals page.

Extended Hours at the Briscoe Library [May 1, 2008]
The Briscoe Library will be open until 2 a.m. daily through Wednesday, May 14. The exception will be Saturdays during this period, when we will close at midnight.

Trial: Emerald Group Publishing journals [Apr 29, 2008]
The UT Health Science Center Libraries will sponsor a trial of healthcare management ejournals through Emerald Group Publishing until the end of May.
 
The journals included in this trial are:Clinical Governance: An International Journal, Health Education, International Journal of Health Care Quality Assurance, International Journal of Workplace Health Management, Journal of Health Organization and Management, Leadership in Health Services, and Nutrition & Food Science

Please look at the journals available and let us know if this would be a valuable addition to the UT Health Science Center Libraries collection.
